The IESG has concluded that this work is related to IETF work done in WG CCWG, but this relationship does not prevent publishing. COMMENT LEDBAT++ is a sender-side algorithm for CC. It specifies a set of enhancements to the LEDBAT (Low Extra Delay Background Transport) congestion control algorithm for TCP, with experience from one implementation. This work is a product of ICCRG and is proposed as an Experimental RFC. This is a successor to LEDBAT, RFC 6817, itself an Experimental RFC, which was a product of the Low Extra Delay Background Transport (ledbat) working group. LEDBAT++ was adopted by ICCRG in 2020, and the ICCRG Charter (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/charter-irtf-iccrg/) permits ICCRG to publish “Experimental or Informational RFCs”. Rledbat, [RFC 9840] was also published by ICCRG. Note: This ICCRG work item precedes the creation of the IETF CC WG which will focus on Standards-track CC. Algorithms proposed for Experimental status can now be in scope for CCWG (in consultation with ICCRG, based on an assessment of their maturity and likelihood of near-term wide-scale deployment). This does not prevent publication of LEDBAT++ by ICCRG.
