_______________________________________________Greetings WG:
Our meeting in Yokohama is fast approaching. As always the goal of the= meeting will be to make the best use of our limited face-to-face time. Wit= h that in mind we welcome requests for agenda time.
As we build the meeting agenda our goal will be to select presentation= s that best further the work of the WG, and that generally means focusing o= n key charter deliverables and topics with important open issues to resolve= . When making a request please consider what you think the WG should do with its content =96 for example:
- Does the document have useful content that should be moved into another= WG document or progress on its own merit
- Does the content have a g= ood basis for one of the WG documents per the charter
- Should the do= cument content be merged with one or more other documents, so that a combin= ed document could become a WG document

I’ve reached out to the SFC chairs to ask for =
SFC to get more favorable scheduling this time around. At IETF Prague, it w=
as on Fri.
The Yokohama published agenda shows: SDNRG on =
Monday, NVO3 on Tuesday, NFVRG on Wed and SFC on Thu. I assume many on this=
WG have interest in these WGs
This time, the IETF meeting is in the week fol=
lowing OpenStack (Also in Tokyo). So this makes for a VERY long trip, for m=
any, and really impossible for some.
I’d like to ask for your help to get SFC WG sc=
heduled earlier in the week to help participation level
Thx

Hi Jim and Thomas:
Don Fedyk and I would like a slot to =
introduce
draft-fedyk-sfc=
-mac-chain-00. The MAC Chaining technology
can be very effective for building SFCs in some settings, particularly in =
data centers and enterprise networks.
Cheers,
Paul
