I have been selected as the DNS Directorate reviewer for this draft. The DNS Directorate seeks to review all DNS or DNS-related drafts as they pass through IETF last call and IESG review, and sometimes on special request. The purpose of the review is to provide assistance to the ADs. For more information about the DNS Directorate, please see https://wiki.ietf.org/en/group/dnsdir From a DNS perspective this draft looks ready to me - the vast majority of it is not DNS specific and is concerned with the specifics of the new encoding itself; section 8.21 updates the TLSA registry to add a new type allowing C509 encoded data in DANE records - this seems clear and sensible to me and I see no outstanding DNS related concerns in this respect. Generally the majority of the draft was clear to read. The exception was the long introduction where a number of sentences with unusual constructions caught me up and had me re-reading several times to try and understand what was being introduced... I was in a hurry and I'm not doing a general review, so I didn't make specific notes, but I would recommend a thorough editing pass through the introduction would be worthwhile.
