This draft deals with core email protocols, and only discusses DNS in section 2.1, where advice on using address lookups is given. The text recommends performing a lookup for the name used in the ELHO command. A suggestion may be to include mention of both IPv4 and IPv6 address records: "If the Domain argument to the EHLO command does not have an address (A/AAAA DNS record)..." simply as a reminder that it may require two DNS queries to confirm.

The draft also discusses other email policy types (SPF, DMARC, etc.) which use the DNS for publishing, but does not go into detail that would warrant needing a DNS review.
