Operation & Usage Operation DHCPv6 client sends a SOLICIT /REQUEST /INFORMATION REQUEST message to DHCPv6 server DHCPv6 server sends REPLY message with DNS zone suffix option to DHCPv6 client. Usage In stateful DHCPv6, the option will be placed in the options field of IA_PD option in an outgoing DHCPv6 message. In stateless DHCPv6, the option will be placed in the main option buffer of any DHCPv6 message sent to a client. |
